Privacy policy

This policy explains what RoboticGen (Pvt) Ltd (“RoboticGen”, “we”) collects when you use this website or contact us about 3D printing or 3D design, how we use it, and the choices you have. We follow the Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022, of Sri Lanka.

What we collect

• Your quotation request: your name, WhatsApp number, how you want to receive the order, your delivery address when you choose courier delivery, your preferred payment method and anything you write in Special mentions.
• Your 3D model files and the print settings you choose for them.
• Our WhatsApp conversation with you, including any files, photos or payment receipts you send there.
• Technical details: the IP address a quotation request comes from, which we keep to stop spam and abuse, and the standard logs our hosting provider records.

The website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It only remembers, for the current browser session, whether you closed the WhatsApp greeting.

How we use it

• To review your model, prepare your quotation and confirm the price.
• To contact you on WhatsApp about your request and your order.
• To print your order and deliver it, or hand it over at pickup.
• To keep payment and order records.
• To protect the website and our customers from spam and abuse.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send you marketing messages unless you ask for them.

Your 3D files

Your designs stay yours. We use your files only to quote, print and discuss your order. We do not publish them, share them with other customers, reuse them for anyone else, or show your parts as examples of our work without your permission. Only the RoboticGen team working on your order can open them.

Who we share it with

We share only what each service needs to do its part:

• Vercel, which hosts this website and stores uploaded model files.
• Airtable, where we keep quotation and order records.
• WhatsApp (Meta), which carries our messages with you.
• The courier or PickMe, who receive your name, phone number and delivery address when you choose delivery.
• Our bank or card payment provider, when you pay.

Some of these services store data outside Sri Lanka. We may also share information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your request, files and messages for as long as we need them for your order and for our accounting and legal records. You can ask us to delete your model files at any time once your order is finished.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can also withdraw your consent to be contacted on WhatsApp. To do any of these, contact us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka.

Keeping it safe

Files are uploaded over an encrypted connection, and access to order records is limited to the people who need it. No online service is completely secure, so please do not send passwords or card numbers through the quotation form or WhatsApp.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and show the new date at the top.
