3D printing for student and final-year projects
RoboticGen prints parts for school, university and final-year projects across Sri Lanka. Upload the models from your CAD software on the quotation page for a free quote, or message us on WhatsApp if the part still needs to be designed.
Students and researchers are one of the groups we serve, and our team has an engineering and robotics background.
What students print
- Enclosures and mounts for electronics, sensors and microcontroller boards.
- Chassis, brackets and mechanism parts for robotics and mechatronics projects.
- Prototypes and scale models to show a design at a presentation or viva.
- Holders, jigs and fixtures for experiments and test rigs.
Each piece has to fit inside the 256 x 256 x 256 mm build area of our Bambu Lab P2S printers. If a part is larger, message us on WhatsApp before you order.
Exporting from your CAD software
The quotation page takes STL, OBJ, 3MF and STEP files, up to 20 MB each and 100 MB per request. STEP and 3MF keep their units. STL and OBJ do not, so choose the model unit when you upload them and check that the dimensions shown match your design.
Planning around a deadline
We do not publish fixed turnaround times. A person reviews every request, and the print time depends on the size of the part, the layer height and the infill. Send the model as early as you can and put your submission date in Special mentions on the request. We confirm the timing with the price on WhatsApp.
Group projects and several parts
Add every model to one request and set a quantity for each. The Rs. 500 minimum order applies to the whole request, so a group can share it across all its parts.
Keeping the cost down
- Use 0.24 mm Draft for fit checks and early prototypes.
- Keep infill low for parts that do not carry much load.
- Choose PLA for display models and indoor parts; see PLA vs ABS vs PETG for parts that get warm or need to be tougher.
- Collect the print in Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia to avoid a delivery charge.

Do you print parts for final-year and university projects?
Yes. Upload the models from your CAD software on the quotation page, choose the settings for each one and send the request. Requesting a quotation is free, and we confirm the price on WhatsApp after a person reviews the files.
I only have a sketch. Can you still help?
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp with sketches, photos and the key measurements, and we can design the part with you before it is printed.
Can you print my project before the deadline?
